Nora Sinclair lives a double life. After celebrating her engagement to Connor in Connecticut, she heads to Boston to be with her husband. Nora’s occupation as a traveling interior decorator for wealthy clients makes a good cover, but not good enough.
The men in Nora’s life tend to die mysteriously. The FBI has dubbed her a “black widow” and they want to set a trap in her own web.
Honeymoon follows Nora and the law enforcement agent on her tail. Nora’s beauty proves to be a distraction, putting the good guy in danger. In true Patterson form, the suspect manages to stay one step ahead of the game leaving readers to wonder if more victims will succumb to her poison.
Howard Roughan earns co-credit on this fast-paced tale of murder and secret pasts. The short chapters and rapid developments deliver the story Patterson fans crave. I’d like to say more, but I don’t want to give away the surprises!
The ending isn’t top form, but the entire story makes for a great ride. The female villain is deliciously devious. Just like a hard-earned vacation, this Honeymoon ends too soon.
