I Like it Like That
by Cecily vonZiegesar
Book Review by Amy Coffin
Spring Break is here and New York’s richest, most beautiful teens have exciting plans. Blair ditches her family’s Hawaiian vacation to go to Sun Valley with Serena. Newly sober Nate and his girlfriend Georgie join them as well. Dan the poet interns in the industry while his younger sis tries to learn more about her mysterious boyfriend. Gloomy Vanessa entertains her hippie parents who are in the city for a visit. It’s just business as usual in the series’ fifth installment: I Like it Like That.

Of course, the anonymous webmaster GossipGirl reports all the latest dirt on the cast. Certain guys and gals attempt casual flings, only to realize their true feelings for others. You’ll just have to read on to see where love is in the air.

There are some crazy alcohol-induced amusing scenes, lots of name-dropping fashions, and the usual teen angst. Vanessa’s kooky parents break up the perfect monotony. Hopefully they’ll be back in future novels.

Author Cecily vonZiegesar comes the closest ever in revealing GossipGirl’s identity. I Like it Like That follows the cast as they let their hair down on vacation. Read the series in order, starting with GossipGirl, to get the whole history of the group. The stories are geared toward the teen crowd and make for fun, light reading. Stick I Like it Like That in your beach bag and enjoy.
